Overview
The EdgeKeeper Journal is designed to replace spreadsheets and disjointed note-taking apps. It provides a unified view of your trading performance across multiple accounts, allowing you to log trades, analyze metrics, and visualize consistency.
Account Management
You can create multiple portfolios to track different strategies or brokers separately.
Features
- Unlimited Accounts: Create separate journals for "Scalping", "Swing", or "Funded Challenge".
- Balance Tracking: Monitor equity growth per account.
- Unified Dashboard: View aggregate stats or drill down into specific accounts.
Calendar View
Visualizing your trading consistency is crucial. The Calendar View provides a heat-map style representation of your trading days.
- Daily PnL: See exactly how much you made or lost on any given day.
- Trade Frequency: Identify days with high activity.
- Quick Filters: Click on a day to view all trades taken during that session.
Data Export
You can export your journal data directly from the Calendar View or Analytics page for external backup or analysis.
Export Options
- CSV:Best for spreadsheet analysis (Excel, Google Sheets). Includes all trade details (entry, exit, PnL, tags).
- JSON:Raw data format for developers or programmatic analysis.
- Markdown:Formatted text summary of your trading performance, ideal for sharing notes or reports.
Note: Exports respect your active filters. If you filter by specific symbols or date ranges, only the matching entries will be exported.
Alerts & Notifications
The Journal system integrates with the platform's notification engine to keep you updated on critical events. The Alerts Calendar provides a historical view of all system notifications.
Notification Types
- Price Alerts: Triggered when market price hits your defined levels.
- System Info: Updates on platform status or maintenance.
- Backtest Results: Notifications when a long-running backtest completes.
Calendar Mode
Switching the Alerts page to "Calendar Mode" allows you to visualize when alerts occurred over time.
- Click any day to see a chronological list of that day's alerts.
- Filter by alert type (e.g., show only "Price Alerts").
- Clear old notifications to keep your history clean.
Logging Trades
Manually log your setups to keep a record of your psychological state and execution quality.
Screenshots & Media
Attach chart screenshots directly to your trade entries. Analyze your entry and exit points visually to identify mistakes.
Detailed Metrics
Record entry price, exit price, commission, swap, and tags (e.g., "FOMO", "A+ Setup") for deeper analysis.
